did i ever tell you the one about the repentance of the invisible man?
after stealing the formula from a scientist and becoming the most notoriously successful thief, he grew tired of his myriad treasures and wanted to do something altruistic.
so, he gives his wealth to the needy and donates his art to museums and his books to libraries. he enjoys this so much that he wants to do more. he is going to devote his life to god and become a monk. he dons the robe wrapped in bandages so as not to startle the other monks and makes up a story about a non contagious skin condition.
